A few weeks before its official presentation at the 2012 IAA in Hannover, Volvo unveiled its new Volvo FH series. State-of-the-art technology on the essential question of fuel efficiency, the new Volvo FH models are also safer and more comfortable. A technology dedicated to fuel efficiencies

The Euro 6 motorization, more energy efficient than the Euro 5 version, is the first remarquable improvement of these Volvo FH. The automated gearbox I-shift, connected to a software called I-See that records all information on the road is the second one. When a Volvo FH truck is equipped with the I-See system, it recognizes the road and analyzes it. Then, the system runs the acceleration, the gear shifting and the braking in order to limit the fuel consumption.

A simplified maintenance and more security for the Volvo FH

With the new Volvo FH trucks and tractors, the parts’ wear level is automatically checked! The workshop gets the information about the wear level of the truck’s components and can, therefore, find with the haulier the best moment to check the truck without interfering in the company’s activities. The new Volvo FH trucks are also the safest vehicles the make has ever manufactured.

Volvo puts the driving comfort of its Volvo FH on the line

Volvo representatives are proud to announce that the handling of its new Volvo FH is exceptional and “nearly identical to the handling of a personal car”! When sitting in the driver’s seat, the field of vision is increased by the windows and rear-view mirrors and the driving position is better as the steering wheel can be tilted. The cab is bigger by 1m3 compared to the last Volvo FH.
