New DAF LF and DAF CF for Euro 6 !
The official introduction of the new DAF CF and LF models for Euro 6 is scheduled for the 2013 Brimingham exhibition. The DAF Euro 6 project, multiple innovations
According to Harrie Schippers, the DAF Trucks CEO : “The Euro 6 project represents the most important investment and development program in DAF history”. After the introduction of the Euro 6 DAF XF last September, the make unveiled their different PACCAR engines for the new Euro norm before revealing the design of the Euro 6 DAF LF from 7.5 to 19 tons, the right choice for the delivery sector, and the DAF CF of 44 tons for all kinds of use.
The innovations of the Euro 6 DAF CF and DAF LF
The DAF CF and LF are equipped with new Euro 6 PACCAR engines with power going from 150 to 510hp. Depending on the model, the manual gearbox of these new DAF trucks and tractor units has 5, 6, 9, 12 or 16 gears. The gearbox is an AS Tronic developed by DAF. Regarding the design, you can notice a larger radiator grille, the chrome panel with the make’s logo, the new LED lights and the steel bumper. On the inside, a new dashboard facilitates the driver’s work. It should also be noted that among the innovations of the DAF CF and DAF LF, the chassis was completely revised to allow it to have up to 1500 liters of fuel.
