The numbers given by the ACEA (European Automobile Manufacturers Association) shows a total of 100 456 registrations for industrial vehicles of more than 5 tonnes during the first six months of 2013 in the European Union. This means a 11.3% decrease since the same time last year.

A generalized truck registrations decrease

The fall of industrial vehicle sales in Europe hasn’t spared any countries in Europe. Germany, France and the UK, which represent an important part of the trucks market in Europe each year, record a decrease between 6 and 13% for the beginning of 2013. Poland seems to be the only European country with a boost in industrial vehicle sales.

Situation in the UK

In the UK, 13329 industrial vehicles of 5 tonnes and more have been registered during the first 6 months of 2013. At the same time last year, there were 14227 registrations in the UK, a 6.3% drop.
