A Euro 6 engine for the new Volvo FH16
The new Volvo FH16 is equipped with a 6-cylinder D16 engine with the Euro 6. Thanks to the EGR system in combination with an updated system for after-treatment of exhaust gases, the new Volvo FH16 produces less CO2 to meet the requirements of the Euro 6 norm.
Three different powers and an optimized engine
The engine of the Volvo FH16 is available with three different power outputs : 550, 650 and 750hp. With the 750hp version, the new Volvo FH16 is the most powerful tractor unit on the market, beating Man and Scania and their 730hp tractor units. Moreover, the new engine has more power when going slow and reduces fuel consumption. The Volvo FH16 has automated transmission, I-Shift made by Volvo.
