MAN will soon equip their TGX models with a new 6-cylinder Euro 6 engine, with power output of 520 to 640hp. The TGX D38 will be available for sale in September and the official launch will take place in Hannover on September 25th, 2014.

More HP for the new MAN engine
Until now, the Euro 6 range from MAN offered long-haul tractor units ranging up to 480 hp with its D26 engine. The brand new D38 engine range by the HP classes 520, 560 and 640 hp for long-haul transport. The goal is to conform with the competitor offers in terms of long-haul trucks.
The new D38 engine has maximum torques of 2 500 Nm, 2 700 Nm and 3 000 Nm.
Several configurations for the new MAN TGX D38
This new model will be available in 4x2, 6x4 ou 8x4, this last axle configuration is reserved for exceptional loads.
In 8x4, the TGX D38 has a GVWR of 41 tonnes and 250 tonnes of total authorised weight for exceptional loads.
