Ecological solutions for trucks
Natural gases such as methane or biogas don't smell and have very low fine particle levels, harmful for the environment. These solutions reduce the CO2 emissions by 70% in comparison to a diesel vehicle. « Methane will become a sustainable alternative to diesel, in the long run » says Lars Martensson, Environmental Director at Volvo Trucks. Thus, trucks that are used for short cycles in cities with frequent stops and restarting, could have a lower impact on pollution.
