Optimised road-holding in all conditions
The new Volvo FL is equipped with a transmission that alternate between high and low gears for a permanent integral transmission. For normal road conditions the high gear is used, and the low gear can be set from the dashboard in case the road changes.
The integral transmission intégrale gives the Volvo FL a great road-holding, whether it is on flat surfaces or on rough terrain with unfavorable climatic conditions. It is made for work on construction sites or in quarries.
An increased versatility for transporters
With a large ground clearance (+2.6 cm at the front, and +6,8 cm at the rear) thanks to his raised chassis, the Volvo FL 4x4 can work on rough terrain. Its angle of attack up to 25 degrees gives it a better grip on irregular ground and get out of pits and ruts.
With a GVWR from 12 to 16 tonnes and a AGVW of 25 tonnes, the Volvo FL has an important load capacity. It can be used as a service vehicle for construction machines like cement truck, mobile crane or platform trucks. Equipped with a D8K engine, ranging from 250 to 280 hp.
