New anti-rollover option for Renault Trucks Nav'Trucks app
The Nav’Truck navigation app for smartphones and tablets by Renault Trucks now has a new "anti-rollover" option for cement mixer trucks.
Launched in 2011, the Nav'Truck app developed by Renault Trucks and ALK Technologies is specialised in trucks navigation. Using the vehicle's size and trucks traffic limitations, this system has a new option for the 2.3.0 version : the Mixer Rollover Alert.
Dedicated to 8x4 concrete mixer vehicles, this Renault Trucks app warns the driver in the event of excessive speed when approaching a bend and, therefore, risking a roll-over.
Driver's safety is increased with the alerts
Based on Nav’Truck GPS cartography, the vehicle's load, the cement in the truck, the road's state and the vehicle's speed, this new system limits the rollover risks for cement transport. Before leaving, the driver has to enter the parameters of the type and quantity of cement he is transporting.
When the system detects a rollover risk, the driver is warned by an audible and visual signal (red or orange according to the level of danger) and recommends a speed.
Introductory price for the Mixer Rollover Alert option
The Nav’Truck app can be downloaded in the Appstore or Playstore for 99,99€ for each European country or regions, or 144,99€ for the Europe version.
The Mixer Rollover Alert option is available at the introductory price of 9,99€ until June 30th (it will, then, cost 199,99€).
