The Scania innovations under way
2016, the year Scania has its biggest launch, has been the year of connected services, sustainable development and products linked to the long-haul sector. At the moment, the company has unveiled a small part of their innovations. Alexander Vlaskamp, Senior Vice President, explains that the launch program in 2017 is even more important than in 2016. Very enthusiastic, he continues by saying that the new generation of their engines has been well-received as seen with the awards they got and the good press.

A clientele of transport professional
It is very important to note that the increase in configurations does not slow down to reach their goals. The company pays good attention to the feedback from their clients in order to satisfy their needs. Alexander Vlaskamp organises meetings with their clients and the press in order to improve their collaboration.

Scania engines more and more efficient
This new generation of V8 Euro 6 engines is related to the fuel consumption. The consumption can be reduced by 7 or 10% for vehicles with a higher trailer-truck weight and/or average speed. Available in version 520, 580 or 650hp, these engines are the answer for longer and heavier trucks nowadays. These characteristics make the company a reference in terms of engine manufacturing.
A constant concern for the ecology
The company is engaged in a renovation process for sustainable transport with the goal to reduce CO2 emissions. The V8 engines are a reference in the ultra-efficient engine industry.
In other words, the new generation of Scania engines is made for sustainable profitability for clients.
