Renault Trucks at SITL : the manufacturer bets on GNV vehicles
The International Week of Transport and Logistics (SITL) will take place between March 20th to 23th 2018 in Paris Nord Villepinte. For Renault Trucks, it is a way to unveil their natural gas vehicles (NGV) vehicles.
A successful energy transition
The manufacturer is aware of the importance of energy transition for vehicles. They believe in the need to sustainably replace diesel vehicles. Thus, NGV is, at the moment, a credible and efficient solution. This energy is more environmentally friendly than classic fuels. The NGV vehicles release little fine particles and absolutely no smoke, odor or methane evaporation.
Introduction to the Renault Trucks D Wide NGV
During SITL, Renault Trucks will introduce, on the AFGNV (French natural gas association) booth, a 19-tonne D Wide NGV with side exhaust pipe. Equipped with a 8.9-liter Euro 6 step C gaz engine developping 320 horsepowers (for the 26-tonne version), this vehicle is perfect for urban distribution. Indeed, it guarantees a good manoeuvrability and the emission levels are low.
The Renault Trucks D Wide NGV is also equipped with an automatic gearbox. They use natural gas as well as natural biogas (biomethane). Finally, it is important to underline that, if you were to buy this vehicle, Renault Trucks will be in charge of the maintenance on all the European continent.
