Erinion’s First Charging Station in France
Erinion has just completed the installation of its first electric charging station in France. It is located in the municipality of Vendenheim (Alsace), specifically at the site of the German electrical installations specialist, Hager Group.
Hager Group: Opting for a Fully Electric Fleet
Like many other companies, Hager Group aims to reduce the environmental impact of its activities in the medium term. Several areas for improvement have been identified, including transport operations. To find eco-friendly options without sacrificing performance, the German company turned to a trusted partner, truck manufacturer Scania.
With its expertise, Scania proposed electrifying the entire fleet of trucks that shuttle between France and Germany. This decision required the construction of a fixed charging station. In collaboration with Scania France, Hager Group decided to install it in Vendenheim, notably due to the site’s electrical capacity, and assigned the project to Erinion.
About 2.5 Hours for a Full Charge
Scania’s trucks are equipped with 624 kWh batteries (468 kWh usable) and support charging up to 375 kW. The charging infrastructure was designed accordingly and includes a central unit capable of supplying up to 200 kW (160 kW continuous). This allows a nearly empty battery (10%) to be fully charged in 2.5 hours. Two satellites enable simultaneous charging of two vehicles.
In addition to installation, Erinion is responsible for maintaining the station and offers monitoring of data collected by the supervision software to optimize usage.
