Electric trucks: a map of public charging stations

Good news for electric truck drivers in Europe! Renault Trucks has just created a map locating all accessible public charging stations. It is freely available on the manufacturer’s website.

500 stations already mapped

Online for a few weeks, the map of charging stations for electric trucks listed several hundred stations by the end of September. Most are already operational (191 stations dedicated exclusively to trucks and another 157 compatible ones). Renault Trucks also publishes the list of 135 stations currently under construction. To ensure high-quality information, the manufacturer carries out regular updates.

This analysis highlights the presence of numerous infrastructures near Europe’s main transport routes. There are 13 stations (3 of which will soon be operational) along the Rhine-Alpine corridor, connecting Rotterdam (Netherlands) to Genoa (Italy), a route of 1,240 km. The link between Amsterdam (Netherlands) and Warsaw (Poland), 1,200 km long, also includes 13 stations, 7 of which will open in the coming months.

A priority for Renault Trucks

Renault Trucks is strongly committed to vehicle electrification, notably through its joint venture Milence. The development of such technology necessarily involves the creation of a public charging network capable of serving heavy trucks. Technical improvements are also needed. One of the main goals is to reduce vehicle downtime. The upcoming availability of megachargers should reduce charging time to just a few minutes.
