DAF XG and XG+: ready for electric!
DAF continues to expand its range of electric vehicles. The manufacturer is now launching the XG and XG+ Electric models, inspired by the XD and XF Electric, recently awarded the title of “International Trucks of the Year 2026.”
2 new models in the "Electric" version
The two new DAF models are equipped with the PACCAR EX‑D2 electric powertrain, capable of delivering between 270 and 350 kW and providing 2,400 Nm of torque. It is paired with an integrated transmission with three gears to optimize the vehicle’s gear changes.
The XG and XG+ Electric also feature spacious cabs, 33 cm longer than the XF cab. The interior offers a volume of 12.5 m³ with enough height for the driver to stand upright (2.2 m). For resting, the driver also enjoys a wide 80 cm bed along the full length. No other cab on the market offers this level of comfort for a vehicle of this size.
Focus on the batteries
Next-generation LFP batteries, with an eight-year warranty, equip the XG and XG+ Electric. Free of cobalt and nickel, they can be fully charged every day while maintaining high thermal stability. Forty-five minutes is enough to charge a battery from less than 10% to 80%.
The trucks carry 3 to 5 battery packs. Their position on the chassis can vary depending on the nature of the tasks to be performed. In their maximum configuration, these vehicles can travel at least 500 km without recharging.
