Renault Kerax – Renault Kerax Truck
Kerax is a range of chassis cabs and construction tractors built by Renault since 1997.
The Kerax trucks, often equipped with a dump body useful for heavy construction work, have a GVW (Gross Vehicle Weight) of 19 to 26 tons. The Kerax tractors have a GVW (Gross Vehicle Weight) of 19 tons and a GTW (Gross Train Weight) of 44 tons.
Equipped with an engine with a power range of 260 to 490 horsepower, the Kerax has a displacement of 9.8 or 11.1 liters. There are three cabin versions for the Kerax: Short, Global, or Deep. The differential lock gives the Kerax excellent road holding in rough terrain, and gear shifting is facilitated by cable control, Servoshift, and Super H control.
Recently, Renault launched two special versions of the Kerax: the Kerax Xtrem and the Kerax Adventure. The Kerax Xtrem is particularly suited for work in mines and quarries: thanks to its reinforced parabolic rear suspension, it can support a GVW (Gross Vehicle Weight) of 50 T. The Kerax Adventure, equipped with a bull bar, pays tribute to rally trucks.
