A challenge worthy of this exceptional model
To measure the progress made by the Volvo Trucks engineers within the Volvo FH16 series, Brian Weatherley imagined a challenge on the Swedish soil. Both the Volvo FH16 470 and the Volvo FH16 750 had to drive a distance of 2,200 metres on a seven per cent gradient with a 40t load.
The Volvo FH16 750 beats its predecessor by more than a minute!
The result speaks for itself: 1:57 minutes with an average speed of 68km/h for the Volvo FH 16 750hp versus 2:58 minutes with an average speed of 45km/h for the Volvo FH16 470hp. The new Volvo Trucks model has proven its worth. The FH16 750 is not only the most powerful truck on the market, but also a particularly environment-friendly one.
