Scania Retarder and Scania Opticruise : high technology for a higher productivity
Scania Retarder allows to improve the truck's low-speed performance and provides total speed control. Scania Opticruise enables the off-road trucks to keep the clutch engaged, thus maintaining traction.
Scania off-road trucks designed to absorb any shock
Scania off-road trucks are equipped with steel bumpers protruding 135mm to protect the cab from bumps. These new bumpers are separately mounted, without any connection to the truck's vulnerable components, thus improving the vehicle's durability. A strong tow pin with a capacity of 35 tonnes allows the Scania truck to be towed out of any delicate situation without having to unload it first. The manufacturer has also redesigned the styling of its off-road vehicles, while still preserving the «wrapping T» shape characteristic for all Scania trucks.
